Mary Jean Carman has “the best job ever” as a Realtor with Century 21 Davis Realty, Inc. She found her way to a real estate career by way of customer service, interior design and personal construction and remodeling experience.

She and her husband, who moved to Nevada County in 1989, have built their own home and fixed up historical homes for rentals. They also totally remodeled a circa 1880 home for a small professional office building.

Because of the building and remodeling, Mary Jean has personally interfaced with county and city entities regarding permits, wells, septic systems, power, etc.

Mary Jean has been on the Grass Valley Historical Commission for about a dozen years.
The Commission is state mandated to catalogue all of the older homes (prior to about 1946) in Grass Valley and watch over our precious historical resource.
